At the time our credit union was founded in 1934, it was known as Colorado State Employees Credit Union. In the early days, only active state employees could be members. A lot has changed since then, and today we are known as the Credit Union of Colorado, a name that better reflects our broad and diverse membership.

With 90 years of experience serving members, we’re proud of our strength, 稳定, and history as a member-owned financial institution. And we’re equally excited for what’s 下一个.

  • 1935 State Trooper

    The credit union was chartered May 25, 1934 to serve state employees. The credit union started with about 22 members each depositing a five-dollar share.

  • 1963 Highland Ranch home

    Became one of the first credit unions to offer mortgage loans to members.

  • 1390 Logan Street

    Our headquarters at 1390 Logan Street in downtown Denver is completed.

  • 1978 NCUA Annual Report

    CSECU obtained deposit insurance from the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA), which insures deposits up to $250,000.

  • CSECU标志

    Expanded membership eligibility to include employees, appointees and officials of Colorado counties, school districts, municipalities and special districts.

    Name change from Colorado State Employees Credit Union to Credit Union of Colorado on August 31, 2007.

  • CUofCO Foundation

    Credit Union of Colorado Foundation was formed. The Foundation's mission is to support education and emergency human services through financial donations and volunteerism.

    New Cañon City branch building opens on July 14, 2014.

    A new omnichannel Digital 沙巴买球ing platform was launched.

  • Highlands Ranch

    New Highlands Ranch branch opens August 26, 2019.

  • 杜兰戈州

    Southwest Colorado Federal Credit Union merged with Credit Union of Colorado to become the Credit Union’s 17th branch in Colorado.

  • Central Park headquarters

    Credit Union of Colorado moved into its state-of-the-art headquarters in the Central Park neighborhood of Denver.
